Robb Friedlander, a native of Kansas, has always been inspired by the political scene in America. This took him on a path that has led him to Luna Media Group.
Like so many other young Americans, he was inspired by the message of hope and change for the country evoked during President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential election. The election was Friedlander’s formal introduction to politics, during which he organized hundreds of students around the metro New York area. He would later go on to successfully lead students working on the Obama for America campaign throughout the east coast, including the swing state of Pennsylvania.
He continued in politics during the 2010 midterm election cycle as an organizer and new media director for the Krystal Ball for Congress campaign in Virginia’s 1st congressional district.
“Robb’s efforts, both online and out in the field, helped engage and motivate a volunteer base vital to my campaign” said Krystal Ball, the former Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia’s 1st District. “I have no doubt that Robb’s addition to Luna Media Group will be a great help to the firm and its clients.”
His work with Invisible Children and Save Darfur helped familiarize him with the world of humanitarian and advocacy non-profits. He continues his work with many non-profit organizations, assisting those who are often marginalized in the media. It is that insight and perspective that Robb brings to Luna Media Group.
In addition to his past experiences in electoral politics, Friedlander has also worked previously for The Center for Medicare Advocacy, Centre for Jewish Education, GLSEN and the Democratic Party.
Friedlander is a graduate of Hofstra University and Ben-Gurion University with a degree in Political Science.
