Luna Media Group is a Washington, D.C.-based communications firm that works closely with progressive organizations and companies to maximize their impact and ability to create change in the world. Brad Luna – Principal

Brad Luna, who founded Luna Media Group in 2010, has a stellar track record of successful media campaigns, political savvy, and strong relationships with both traditional and new media journalists.

Prior to the founding of Luna Media Group, Brad served as director of communications at the Human Rights Campaign, an organization he joined in the summer of 2005.

Before joining HRC, Brad worked at a Washington, D.C. public relations firm assisting the United Nations Foundation and advising General Electric on their new product branding and marketing.

In the 2004 election cycle, Brad managed Rep. Brad Carson’s, D-Okla., bid for the U.S. Senate. During this time, he served as chief political strategist and oversaw the development of strategy, messaging and finance. This top-tier campaign was featured on “Meet the Press” with Tim Russert, CNN, Fox News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today and other national outlets and was rated “the best-run campaign of 2004″ by political analysts.

Prior to 2004, Brad served as communications director to Carson, where he provided daily communications and message consulting. As communications director, Brad developed a comprehensive press strategy to push for the relocation of residents of one of the worst environmental disaster sites in the entire nation. Additionally, he served as the congressman’s chief on-the-record spokesman since 1999.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tulsa and furthered his studies while attending the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Amy Steele – Managing Director

Amy Steele brings extensive experience as a writer, editor and project coordinator to Luna Media Group’s clients. Her drive to advocate for political and social issues through non-profit organizations brought her to Washington, D.C. after working in communications and hospitality in New York City, Seattle and Alaska.

From 2007 through 2010, Amy worked for a small advertising agency in Anchorage, Alaska as account executive and copy editor, acting both as a liaison between the agency’s clients, artists and upper management, and as an editor, upholding specific client style guidelines and ensuring error-free publication.

She brings a keen eye for detail to Luna Media Group’s client roster, helping maintain each organization’s credibility through written communications while providing continual editorial and outreach support.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations with a concentration in journalism and art from the University of Idaho.

Heather Cronk – Strategist

Heather is the newest addition to Luna Media Group, balancing her time between LMG and GetEQUAL — an LGBT direct action and civil rights organization. It is her experience at GetEQUAL that she most directly brings to Luna Media Group — her ability to identify targets, strategies, goals, and tactics to bring about positive social change have been an important asset to LMG’s clients.

Prior to her work with GetEQUAL, Heather was the Chief Operating Officer at the New Organizing Institute, overseeing operations and expanding programs. Heather has also worked with organizations such as mySociety in the U.K. and with Idealist.org in the U.S., always focused on building community and pushing for tangible social change.

A native of Lexington, KY, Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion/philosophy from Berry College in Rome, GA, and a Master of Divinity degree from Wake Forest University Divinity School in Winston-Salem, NC.
